The subject being fully considered unanimously resolved that a letter be written by the Colonial Secretary to Mr. Gibbons, Registrar of the Supreme Court informing the Supreme Court that the Chief Justice has called the attention of the Governor to the report in the China Mail of the 21st instant of some observations made by Mr. Gibbons that day, and alleged to be in the Supreme Court enquiring whether the Report is substantially correct and if so what explanations he has to offer for publicly making such statements.
